San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie’s Family Zoning plan to increase housing density across much of the city moved forward this week when a key Board of Supervisors committee adopted various amendments and tabled a slew of others that state officials had said would reduce or constrain development. San Francisco is facing an end of January deadline to adopt a rezoning plan, after which it could lose significant control over development and potentially $110 million per year in funding from the state, according to city planning officials.
