Michelle Wu, Boston’s first female and first Asian American mayor, secured a second term after running unopposed in the general election, having defeated nonprofit leader Josh Kraft in the September preliminary. Wu celebrated with supporters as she pledged to focus on affordability, housing, and other local and federal challenges, including defending the city’s immigration policies and addressing addiction, homelessness, and city revenues.
