As enrollment continues to fall and housing demand rises, Cleveland is transforming shuttered schools into hundreds of new apartments — creating one of the nation’s largest school-to-residential pipelines. Cleveland has the second-largest school-to-apartment pipeline in the nation, with 615 apartments set to open from the redevelopment of five unused school buildings and/or their properties.
