Los Angeles city leaders voted to purify 45 million gallons of wastewater per day, nearly doubling recycled water output at the Donald C. Tillman Water Reclamation Plant to serve 500,000 people by 2027 and reducing dependence on imported water, particularly from sources like Mono Lake.
