Ontario’s decision to repeal Toronto’s green roof bylaw has drawn concern from the city’s mayor and opposition MPPs, who argue the bylaw, which led to more than 1,200 green roofs, helped divert stormwater, reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and supported 1,600 jobs.
