The City of Portland announced a new focus on cleaning sidewalks citywide, utilizing contractors and a budget of about $2 million to target sidewalks along major business corridors and commercial centers. Seven pedal-powered cargo trikes were purchased to help regularly clean up trash and biohazards from key sidewalks, with a list of targeted streets published as part of the initiative.
