Oklahoma puts its tobacco settlement funds in a trust, spending only the interest; the strategy has had long-term public health benefits. At the beginning of 2026, its 25th anniversary, the trust announced $150 million in Legacy Grants, long-term investments in Oklahoma health infrastructure.
