Memphis Commercial Appeal
The Memphis Area Transit Authority has officially kicked off its “Zero Fare Pilot Program,” which offers riders free access to all MATA services for 90 days. Memphis Mayor Paul Young said at the event the city also wants to upgrade MATA’s fleet of vehicles, revise routes for efficiency and achieve shorter wait times.
